Little Quan was introduced to GFO in December 2007.
Treatment Information:
| 5/2007-10/2007 |
- Patient was suffered from redness and pain in right eye. Doctor in National Eye Center in Hanoi diagnosed him with eye infection.
- After treating with eye drops and antibiotics did not show any improvement, doctor operated him to remove infected lens. Eye pressure was reduced and the patient was getting better.
- However, after few months, his right eye pupil was contracted and reduced in size. His right eye 's retina was clear but he could not see by his right eye due to no lens. His right eye was smaller then the left one. Eye drops and antibiotics treatment did not help.

- Patient went to Singapore National Eye Center. Doctor diagnosed the redness, high pressure in his right eye. The pupil is also blocked and the vision is lost.
- Doctor operated to form pupil hole and put catheter. After the operation, the right eye's pressure was reduced. The vision was not recovered. Doctor suggested that the patient can put artificial lens when he grow up. |

- Patient went back to Singapore for check-up. The right eye was clear, eye pressure was low but he could not see by his right eye. |
| 2/2008 |
- Patient went back to Singapore for check-up. The right eye was red and infected again.
- Doctor ordered eye drops and scheduled for check-up in May 2008. |
| 4/2008 |
- Because patient's right eye became red and painful, the family brought him to Singapore again.
- Doctor performed an operation on him. The result was good and he needs to come back for check-up in 1 month time. |
| 5/2008 |
- Patient went back to check-up. Doctor concluded that the right eye was in stabilized condition. However, the patient can not see by his right eye because the brain was not activated to use the right eye for quite a long time.
- Doctor ordered an +13.00 diop glasses and covered his left eye in order to stimulate him to use his right eye to see.
- Patient will be back for check-up in 3 month time. |
| 7/2009 |
- Patient went back to Singapore for check up. The eye condition was good, but the right eye pressure was still high.
- Doctor wanted to do lazer operation to reduce eye pressure. This was expected to be done in 9/2009 |
| 08/2009 |
- Patient come back Singapore for check-up. The eye pressure is now in the accepted level, this suggests that the eye drop the patient using is effective. So the doctor cancelled the operation, decided to continue putting eye drop to maintain the eye pressure.
- The doctor advised the patient to practice using his right eye everyday 3hrs without the left eye. The patient is advised to practice more other activities eg. reading, drawing, playing with friends... to work the eye more, so that it will be stronger.
- The patient will visit the doctor again in 5 months time. |
