Mr Tien was introduced to GFO in January 2008.
Treatment Information:
15/12/2007 - Patient was suffered from severe headache, sometimes light fever
- Patient was hospitalized and did CT scan of the brain, result shown osteolysis lesions in the skull
- The family decided to bring him to Singapore to have treatment in Mount Elizabeth Hospital
1/2008 - Based on many tests done, doctor concluded that osteolysis lesions were not due to cancer but rather because of infection
- Patient was still suffered from heavy headache, pain in eyes, seeing 2 visions
- Doctor suggested to see specialist in infection to find out a treatment protocol using antibiotics
2/2008 - Biopsy shown a maglinant tumor inside the skull. A treatment protocol was given: 5 courses of radiotherapy, then subsequent checking-up
- After radiotherapy, the patient's condition was improved. No headache.
- However, bone scan of the whole body shown metastasis in many parts. Doctor ordered chemotherapy. The patient's condition was stabilized. He went back to Vietnam and will come to Singapore in 1 month for check-up
