Mrs Huong was introduced to GFO in June 2008.

- Patient was suffered from heavy headache. She was diagnosed with brain tuberculosis and received treatment in the hospital in Vietnam.
- At the moment, brain tuberculosis was resolved but the brain was damaged. Patient has to stay in bed and is unable to walk and eat normally. |

- Patient decided to have treatment in Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
- Doctor operated twice on the patient to drain the liquid in her brain and to take out as much as possible brain tumors. It was projected that after 2 operations, the patient will be able to walk and recover memory slowly.
- Biopsy of the removed tumor shown that there were active TB virus.
- Tests done on the liver shown that the patient suffered from hepatitis B. Doctor decided to treat the hepatitis virus before treating TB virus.
- At the moment, patient was discharged and came back to hospital to do physiotherapy. |
