Feb 2009, Mr Nam started having small ulcers in jaw area. Doctors in Vietnam diagnosed him with jaw cancer and suggested treatment was operation to remove the whole jaw area.

July 2009, Mr Nam saw Dr Thomas in NUH, Singapore. After tests and checks, the Doctor reconfirmed of jaw cancer and decided to operate, but only half of the jaw (the part which has cancer). Operation would be at end of July.

Treatment Information:

28 Jul 2009	- Patient went for operation which is to remove the jaw and to have a plastic surgery by using the bone in the leg to replace the jaw bone.
25 August 2009	The operation is successful and the patient is recovering. Now he's able to eat porridge, talk and walk slowly. It takes time for the patient to be totally recovered as before the operation. The patient is allowed to go back VN and see the doctor in 3 months time.
