Today 21 March 2009, Saturday, the Opening Ceremony for GFO Learning Center - Dieu Vien took place successfully. Close to 200 students from families with financial difficulty attended the event and read the first batch of books with eagerness.  (1079 views)

GFO has finally found the first official partner for the second center in the chain of learning centers. That is COMO Foundation - the unit in charge of charity activities under COMO Group. After reviewing the suggestions by GFO, COMO Group's managerment has agreed to sponsor S$31,400 and planned to get the project ready for operation some time next year. The remaining tasks include field trip and studying about potential organizations, which are some orphanages in Hue and Danang and finally selecting the most suitable venue for the center.  (643 views)

GFO is proud to announce that Singapore Exchange Ltd has officially donated S$10,000 for our event "A Dream Comes True". The company has been cooperating with GFO to build a library in Long Hoa, the first one in the "Chain of Learning Centers" project. Singapore Exchange Ltd (SGX) was inaugurated on 1 December 1999, following the merger of two established and well-respected financial institutions - the Stock Exchange of Singapore (SES) and the Singapore International Monetary Exchange (SIMEX).     (673 views)
